A Week back we saw Apple’s Tablet coming to life with iPad. The idea of creating a new segment makes sense. Despite it’s limitations, iPad would Succeed. The idea of creating a new segment makes alot more sense, hence we would see involvement from every key player. From what analysts predict, Google can give a competition to Apple with it’s Tablet powered by Chrome OS or even Android, former being more evident. Chromium project have created some impressive mockups of what Chrome OS would look and feel like on a tablet form factor. These mockups were put together by Glen Murphy, Google Chrome’s designer, but it’s not an official google thing. But, there’s a good chance that the final version of Chrome OS will resemble this.

In case you can't tell by looking at the thing, the iPad does -- indeed -- resemble a large iPhone (actually, more like an iPod touch). The front of the device is a large, smooth piece of glass with no buttons save for the familiar "home" button in a bottom center location. The 9.7-inch display is surrounded by thick black bezel. Around back the look is familiar as well, something of a cross between the back of a 3GS and a MacBook Air -- smooth aluminum which slightly curves and tapers along the sides.
